What is MRNAT?

The Manav Rachna National Aptitude Test (MRNAT) is an Entrance cum Scholarship Test, offering a pathway to admission in a diverse range of Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs (excluding M.Tech, B.Design & M.Phil) at Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.

Eligibility and Exam Structure for MRNAT

Applicants seeking admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are eligible to apply for MRNAT. The MRNAT is a 90-minute, objective-type online examination designed to assess candidates on:

  1. Knowledge of the curriculum of their qualifying examination (Class XII for UG applicants or Graduation for PG applicants) and
  2. Aptitude relevant to the program they are applying for
  3. Vision & Values Round- This test is designed to look beyond the academic achievements of the candidates and delve into their aspirations, ethical mindset, and alignment with the university's guiding principles.

What is the syllabus of MRNAT

MRNAT comprises 3 sections (for UG aspirants) and 4 sections (for PG aspirants):

  1. Format For UG Applicants:
    Arithmetic & Logical Reasoning (25 MCQs), General English (25 MCQs) and General Awareness (25 MCQs)
  2. Format for PG applicants:
    Arithmetic & Logical Reasoning (15 MCQs), Verbal Ability (15 MCQs), General Awareness (15 MCQs) and Domain Specific (30 Questions)

To summarise, MRNAT analyses the aptitude, foundational knowledge of the subjects studied, elemental perspective of the program applied for, and general awareness of the candidates, preparing them for the chosen academic pursuit.

Schedule and Scholarship Timeline

The MRNAT 2025 Phase I exam was scheduled for January 18th, 2025, and Phase II will be conducted on April 20th, 2025. MRNAT-based scholarships under the 'Utkarsh' and 'Uttam' schemes are as follows:>

SCHEME DATES
Utkarsh Scheme ‘Utkarsh’ is for candidates taking Admission within a period from 25th January 2025 to 29th April 2025.
Uttam Scheme ‘Uttam’ is for candidates taking Admission within a period from 30th April 2025 to 30th June 2025.

FAQs

Candidates who have completed or appeared for their qualifying examination (Class 12 for undergraduate programs and graduation for postgraduate programs) are eligible to apply for MRNAT. Eligibility criteria may vary depending on the specific course.

For Undergraduate Aspirants

a. Arithmetic & Logical Reasoning: 25 aptitude-based questions to test problem-solving skills.

b. General English/Verbal Ability: 25 engaging questions to test command over the English language and communication abilities.

c. General Awareness: 25 insightful questions to gauge knowledge of the world.

d. Domain-Specific: 30 specialised questions to test the fundamental knowledge of the chosen field of study.

Total Questions: 75

Yes, candidates are eligible for a scholarship based on their performance in the MRNAT. The scholarship amount, which can be up to 100% Tuition Fee Waiver, is determined by the candidate's cumulative score in the exam.

Scholarships are available for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs (excluding M.Tech, B.Des & M.Phil), with Uttam scheme offering varying scholarship percentages based on MRNAT scores obtained by the candidate.

1) Multiple Choice Exam ( Computer-Based Test): The MRNAT exam is a computer-based objective-type test with a duration of 90 minutes (or 60 minutes for Lateral Entry courses). The exam will feature questions from the syllabus covered in the qualifying examination (e.g., Class XII or Graduation, as applicable) and/or assess the candidate's aptitude relevant to the program applied for.

2) MR Vision & Values Round:

• Personal Interaction: Candidates share their motivations, interests, and career objectives.

• Value-Based Questions: Candidates explore perspectives on key topics like sustainability, teamwork, and societal contributions along with their assigned mentors.

• Guidance Session: Mentors present program insights, career pathways, and opportunities for the candidates within the university’s vibrant ecosystem, tailored to each candidate’s aspirations.

For candidates appearing for MRNAT from the Manav Rachna campus, MRNAT and VVR will be conducted on the same day. However, for candidates appearing from other centres, VVR will be conducted online on the next day (April 21st, 2025).

The MRNAT result is typically declared within 3-Days of completing both sections of the test. Candidates can access their results through a single sign-in dashboard, the access code of which shall be shared with them after the test conduction.

While it is recommended to appear for the test on the scheduled dates, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you are unable to take the test on either of the specified dates, you can opt to go for:

a. Post-Test Communication: Our admissions team will reach out to you after the test to discuss the next step.

b. Special Considerations: Your name and application number will be forwarded to the Admissions and Student Facilitation Centre, along with any special requests (if applicable), for further action.

In case of an anticipated contingency, we encourage applicants to inform the admissions team in advance to ensure a smooth post-examination arrangement process.

MRNAT is a Computer-Based MCQ Test conducted across various centres throughout India. Candidates can choose from 14+ cities and must report to the city’s designated exam centre to appear for the exam.
