The Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry at the Manav Rachna Dental College offers a comprehensive PhD program designed to equip individuals with the advanced knowledge and research skills needed to become leaders in safeguarding children's oral health.

Rigorous Curriculum

The program fosters a strong research culture, encouraging students to conduct original research under the guidance of experienced faculty. This culminates in a thesis exploring a specialized topic in pediatric dentistry, contributing to the advancement of the field.

  • The program builds upon a foundation of advanced coursework in pediatric dentistry, oral pathology, microbiology, preventive dentistry, biostatistics, and epidemiology.
  • This ensures proficiency in diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and oral diseases in children.

Current Research

A current PhD scholar is investigating knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to children's oral health among medical practitioners. We have already published two papers in PubMed-indexed international journals, demonstrating the program's commitment to impactful scholarship.
