  • BA-JMC (International) in collaboration with Western Sydney University, Australia in1+2 pattern of 1st year in MRIIRS and later years in WSU, Australia.

At DJMC, we have industry focused syllabi to give hands on exposure to the students to match industry standards. In the age of digital media, we motivate our students to be entrepreneurs in media industry.

The eligibility criteria for our programs are as follows:

  • BA-MC/BA-MC with specialisation: Pass with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects including English as compulsory subject along with 4 subjects with the highest score out of the remaining subjects.
  • BA-JMC(International) 1+2 degree programme in association with Western Sydney University, Australia: Pass in 10+2 Examination / Equivalent Examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects including English as compulsory subject along with 4 subjects with the highest score out of the remaining subjects plus (a) having studied in English Medium from 8th to 12th class or (b) IELTS composite score at 6.0 with individual score not less than 5.5
  • MA-MC: 50% marks in any stream at Graduation level from a recognized university with pass in English in 10+2.

The programs being offered under this department are industry-oriented. Apart from the classroom lectures, the thrust is mainly given on practical aspects of functioning of media industry and therefore, become more relevant and engaging.

The students tend to learn every aspect of media, communication, designing and also the art of film making. The department has its own well equipped audio visual studio where different programs like news bulletins, panel discussions, group discussions, debates, open house sessions etc are not only organized but recorded which are mainly produced by the students.

Not only this, the students are also sent to the field to interview various celebrities, cover various events of importance. In nutshell, the students come out of the university as confident and expert in their fields. It’s mandatory for all the students to go for field project to understand nuances of the media profession.

Yes, MC degree is as good as the one awarded by any central or state university. A bachelor’s degree holder from this department can also apply for higher studies in any of the Indian or overseas universities.
