WSU, Australia

The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication introduced BA JMC (International) in collaboration with Western Sydney University, Australia in 1+2 pattern of Ist year in MRIIRS and later years in WSU, Australia. The Agreement was signed in the year 2019.

The basic structure of the programme was developed in line with the regular BA JMC with planning of the 24 credits each across 6 semesters for the award of degree. The objective was to provide an international degree program and international exposure for the students.

The eligible students under this programme shall have a provision to proceed to Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia in 2nd year directly with transfer of credits of all courses/subjects studied at MRIIRS and complete the programme of Bachelor of Communication of WSU with award of their degree of Bachelors of Communication.

WSU, Australia provides academic support in terms of course details and delivery during the first year of this programme at MRIIRS through the faculty members of WSU Australia. The eligible students who shall be moving to WSU, Australia in their 2nd year of this programme with the transfer of credits (provided they do earn all the offered credits during first year) and completes their 2nd and 3rd year shall be required to pay the fee and other charges as per WSU Australia during that period and shall be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Communication of the WSU, Australia.

The program also entails a student –teacher exchange program with the WSU whereby our teachers and students will visit the University and vice-versa.

Gurugram University

Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies participated in the two-day National Media Dialogue organised by the Gurugram University, Gurugram from April 12-13, 2023 on the theme “G20 Presidency: India on the Path of Global Leadership- Perceptions and Challenges in Media” as a Knowledge partner. The objective was to provide collaborative learning experience for our students and the faculty.

Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME)

Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME) is a premier institute affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwarka, New Delhi. DME Media School, DME, organises its annual International Conference ICAN which is the most distinct media conference in terms of number of days, number of technical sessions and number of deliberation-based sessions. Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies partnered with DME in the sixth edition of ICAN (Identity, Culture and Agenda-driven Newscast – ICAN6). MRIIRS associated with ICAN 6 as a Knowledge Partner and was also a venue for the ICAN 6 conference on June 22, 2023.

Woodpecker International Film Festival

Woodpecker International Film Festival (WIFF) - India's biggest film festival on Issue-Based Cinema. Launched in 2013 the festival is counted among the highly respected film festivals in India. WIFF participated in the film festival Avlokan- The Creative Kites 2023 organised by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, School of Media Studies & Humanities, MRIIRS, on May 9, 2023. The aim of the film festival was to promote films as a medium of creative expression, providing a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their talent while encouraging and celebrating creativity and diversity through cinematic experiences.
