About Department

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication integrates cutting-edge curriculum with reference to National Education Policy and industry requirements. DJMC focuses on the needs of students by providing a strong foundation of theory and practice of creative media concepts while utilizing state of the art Audio Visual Technology of Media Centre, Radio Manav Rachna and Computer software.

In harmony with MRIIRS vision and mission we not only develop requisite media skills amongst learners but we cultivate human values, professional ethics, gender sensitivity and environment consciousness. In the new communication context and social scenario, we organize conferences, master classes, industry visits, community service activities and workshops so that learners have a strong sense of innovation and critical thinking.
