Law has, over a period of time, become one of the popular career choices in our country. In the last decade, there have been a lot of first-generation lawyers because of the numerous options that law has opened up.

There has been a significant increase in the number of specializations that law schools and universities in India are now offering, like Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change and Sustainability, IPR, Business Law, Forensics, International Economic Trade law etc., offered by Law Schools and Universities.

A law degree is not restricted to just practicing in the Courts anymore but opens up a plethora of exciting career opportunities. Graduates in Law can choose to practice as advocates or join law firms and specialise in areas like Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Laws, Competition Laws, Mergers and Acquisitions, Matrimonial disputes, Property disputes etc.

Law Graduates may also appear for various competitive exams like UPSC, Judicial Services and Armed Forces. Moreover, they can work as legal advisors in various organisations in both the private and public sectors. The students interested in going for higher studies may opt for academia.

Alternative career paths include working as a legal expert with NGOs, Legal Editor, Legal Journalist, Legal Advisor for MNCs, and legal officer for Banks and Insurance Companies, LPOs, KPOs etc. As a lawyer, there are many ways to give back to the community.

The lawyers provide pro-bono services to the communities in need who cannot afford to pay the legal fees. A career in law is rewarding and satisfactory as lawyers provide their time, energy and resources to the marginalized sections of society. School of Law at Manav Rachna University offers varied specializations and focuses on bridging the gap between classroom teaching and practical training.

Our students excel in the art of advocacy both at the trial and appellate levels, as the focus is on participative learning. The whole idea is to create a generation of technically sound and professionally competent lawyers.

Various Legal Aid and Awareness Camps are organized by the Legal Aid Cell at the School of Law to assisst the underprivileged sections in contributing to society.
