Different field interests of MBRC faculty facilitate interdisciplinary research projects. Projects mentored at MBRC have won recognition at various International level and National platforms.

Multiple invited talks delivered.
Published more than 50 research papers.
More than 10 projects submitted for funding.
Three start-ups have been incubated (Mentor-Dr. Kapila Kumar and Dr. Vineeta Sharma)
Dr. Kapila Kumar received the outstanding woman researcher award for molecular biology.
A Student Team of B.Tech. Biotechnology students led by Dr. Kapila Kumar won First Prize at Anveshan 2022 (Student Research Convention). The students were awarded a cash prize of 50,000 Rs
A Student Team of B.Sc. Micrology students led by Dr. Kapila Kumar won First Prize at Sustainathon 2023 (Global Peace Foundation Convention). The students were awarded a cash prize of 15,000 Rs

A team of M. Tech and B. Tech Biotechnology students led by Dr. Kapila Kumar won the Bronze Medal at iGEM 2020 (MIT, USA) for creating a genetically engineered E.coli to detect and estimate the N-nitrosamines in water. The team was able to file a patent and register a start-up from this award-winning work. The participation was fully sponsored by DBT, Government of India (Funding of Approx. 7 Lacs).
