Technical Clubs

The department has two student's clubs viz., Club Biotechnica and Club Environ. All the students of the department are members of these clubs.
The convener of these clubs is Head, Department of Biotechnology.
The Club has a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary all of which are represented by students.
There is a faculty-in-charge for these clubs who along with the core group members conduct various events under the banner of these clubs. In each semester at least two events are held under these clubs.
The activities involve debate, extempore, poster making, slogan writing, quiz, skits, etc. The students from undergraduate as well as post graduate are encouraged to participate in the events to showcase their talents.

Photography Competition on Ecological interactions

The Biotechniqa club activity i.e. Science Quiz information is required to incorporate in the Student's Corner Tab and Club Sub Tab.

Quiz competitions are always interesting and informative, which provide excitement among the students. The main objective of this event to make them aware of recent general knowledge related to vaccines. Quiz competition was conducted by Biotechnea Club,Departmental club on 23 rd February 2023 in AT-18. Students from undergraduate programmes such as B.Tech Biotechnology (2 nd , 4 th and 6 th semester) and B.Sc. Microbiology (2 nd ,4 th semester) participated in the quiz competition.

A total of 16 students participated in the quiz competition. Judges for the competition were Dr. Sabiha Imran and Dr. Kanchan Bhardwaj who evaluated the results.

Head of the Department Dr. Manu Solanki even came for the inspection of the competition A rapid fire round of total 40 questions took place from which top 4 students were announced as winners.

Winners for the competition were Somya Sharma (B.Tech Biotechnology 6 th sem), Vishal Kumar (B.Tech Biotechnology 6 th sem), Sawan Yadav (B.Sc. Microbiology 4 th sem) and Tanvi Sidhwani (B.Tech Biotechnology 4 th )respectively.
