The mandate of the Department of Biotechnology, School of engineering and Technology is to generate a quality and competitive workforce for Biotechnology research, innovation, entrepreneurship and biotech industrial growth.
The emphasis of the Department is on promotion of excellence and innovation for facilitating basic as well as applied biotechnology for capacity building (human resource) in Biotech sectors.
The Department is also inculcating the National Missions launched by our Hon’ble Prime Minister such as Swasth Bharat, Swachh Bharat, Start-up India and Digital India to the undergraduate and Master Students through its various programmes/schemes.
