The Faculty of Education & Humanities aspires to prepare 21st century facilitators by transacting specially designed curriculum based on NCTE guidelines. Through its constant endeavours to incorporate emerging strategies, approaches and innovative pedagogies, it exposes its trainees to different world-class concerns like Microsoft Imagine Academy and Apple Learning Technology. Along with regular curriculum transaction, it also grooms its budding teachers through Communication Skill

Enhancement Modules and Personality Development Programs. The prospective teachers are also groomed in institutional social responsibilities. They are given ample opportunities to interact with their counterparts of other institutes during Conferences, Seminars and Workshops.

Highly qualified and experienced faculty members with commendable research background train and mentor the students to develop their knowledge and polish their skills in the state of the art labs and other resources. It is ensured here that along with students’ teaching skills, their soft skills are also developed, which is done in collaboration with the Manav Rachna International Schools and Kunskappskolan School.

Programme Objectives (POS) – B.ED

After the completion of the program, the students will:

a) demonstrate core values: Commitment to profession; honour diversity and ensure inclusion; ethical integrity.

b) demonstrate competenciessuch as; Communication skills; working effectively with students and parents;drive for achieving improved student learning outcome.

c) demonstrate professional/technical knowledge of the physical, social and intellectual development of students.

d) demonstrate knowledge and understanding of: differentiating teaching to meet specific learning needs of students; both school education and teacher education-related subjects.

e) demonstrate knowledge required to design lesson plan learning sequences, implement teaching strategies using ICT, set explicit, challenging and achievable learning goals for all students.

f) demonstrate professional competencies/practice that are required to manage classroom activities by establishing and maintaining orderly and workable routines.

g) demonstrate professional competencies required to select, use and develop informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning, provide timely feedback to students, and participate in assessment moderation activities.

h) demonstrate competencies and actions required for keeping oneself professionally engagedindependently and participate in learning to update knowledge and practice.

i) demonstrate the ability to conduct research in related thrust areas.

PSO 4 Demonstrate the practical and theoretical understanding of learning theories and their classroom implications.

PSO 5 Demonstrate the skills of applying the principles of universal design for learning in inclusive classrooms.

PSO 6 Demonstrate the skills of using ICT for teaching children with disabilities.

1. Attain concept clarity of core course (Science) and Education to become an effective facilitators.
