M.Tech Computer Engineering at Manav Rachna University is a two-year duration postgraduate level programme. It is a knowledge and practical skills based programme that imparts students with job ready computer science knowledge and also helps in understanding concepts of the research. MRU offers a diversity of subjects and specialisations under the umbrella of M.Tech CE.

Completion of a minimum of 90-100 credits, including all core courses, as specified in the curriculum scheme; successful completion of summer training; and successful completion of all stages of dissertation work shall be the condition for award of degree.
A student must register for a minimum of 14 credits and a maximum of 29 credits in a semester.
Corporate Sector: The Employment opportunities after M.Tech include offers from consulting companies (TCE Consulting Engineers Ltd., Zinnov Research Consulting), Core Engineering Companies (Punj Lloyd, LT ECC), R&D Centers (BARC, ISRO).

MRU now offers teaching assistantship for MTech CSE Students. The selected candidates having more than 70% overall marks or 7.00 CGPA in the qualifying examination shall be provided teaching assistantship on the recommendations of the committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

The Department uses Windows, Linux, Cloud based platforms and virtualization techniques for instruction (Labs) and course assignments. According to AICTE guidelines the minimum credit requirement for graduating from MRU in B.Tech CSE course is 160 and B.Tech CSE with specialization is 180 and B.Tech in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence Engineering 30 .
(a) Completion of Minimum Credits:
As specified in the curriculum, completion of minimum credits of the program shall be the condition for the award of the degree. These credits should be earned under different categories as follows:
(b) Lower and Upper Limits for Credits Registered:
A student must register for a minimum of 14 credits and a maximum of 29 credits in a semester. The minimum credits registered should include at least 2 courses under the category of hard courses which can be core or elective with first preference to core.
(c) Credits Earned at Different Universities / Institutes:
Provision shall be made for acknowledgement of credits earned by a student through coursework/project work/internship.
