The Department of Computer Science and Technology is committed to developing globally competent and skilled professionals who are also socially responsible citizens. To achieve this goal, the department is focused on establishing stronger connections with industry partners, fostering a research-oriented environment, and using innovative teaching pedagogies to nurture an environment that fosters novelty, inventiveness, and critical thinking.

The course curriculum is aligned with current industry and societal needs and is combined with internships, projects, and curriculum, co-curricular and extracurricular activities that prepare the student for holistic education and equip them to face contemporary technological challenges. The excellent infrastructure and experienced team of faculty members are dedicated to strengthening the effective teaching learning process through student-centric learning pedagogies like project-based learning, collaborative learning through Agile classrooms, flipped classrooms, etc. Participating in professional society chapters and clubs such as IEEE Computer Society, Eureka Data Science Club, etc., helps students cultivate leadership skills.

We not only impart technical knowledge but also strive to inculcate 21st-century skills like creativity, communication, analytical skills, and collaboration. Students are encouraged to participate in a lot of ISR activities to promote social welfare and contribute positively to society, making a difference in peoples’ lives. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our faculty members who are not only experts in their respective fields but also dedicated mentors to our students.We also provide opportunities for our students to participate in national and international level coding competitions, hackathons, and to attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to gain exposure to the latest trends in the industry. The department has taken the responsibility to enhance the students' soft skills, analytical abilities, and verbal communication skills so as to prepare them for the competitive corporate world.

The department is proud of its alumni, many of whom hold influential positions in the private and public sectors, and some are successful entrepreneurs. Their accomplishments serve as a testament to the department's success. Finally, the CST department looks forward to having bright students, researchers, academicians, and professionals to engage and enrich the academic culture of the campus.
