The University has evolved from Manav Rachna College of Engineering (MRCE, established in 2004, a NAAC Accredited ‘A’ Grade Institution). Manav Rachna University has been bestowed with QS I-GAUGE, Overall DIAMOND rating, and has been awarded a Platinum (Highest Ranking) in Employability and Academic Development.

The aim of the Department of Computer Science & Technology is to provide high-quality education along with training the students with all the new advancements in the field of computers. The department takes initiative to improve the soft skills, analytical capabilities and verbal communication of the students.

The department adopted learning by doing pedagogy and offers a lab oriented curriculum to create a learning environment in which students are more confident and productive as they engage in projects that empower them to take ownership of their education. The department has computer labs in the different areas of computing equipped with the latest software in the respective areas and hardware complementing its implementation.
