She made sure that she shared her own experiences and learnings with the audience in a very easy-to-understand manner and interspersed her talk with relevant examples too.

In the question-and-answer round, Ms. Akshita also clarified the queries of the freshers. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by the session in-charge, Dr. Savita Sharma. Overall, the interaction proved to be very fruitful and extremely relevant for the students.

Ms. Akshita Shukla, one of the outstanding alumni (B.Ed. Batch 2018-20) interacted with the new entrants. Her pictorial and colorful presentations could motivate and attract the students’ attention right in the beginning.

She began her talk by informing the newcomers about key facilities and opportunities offered by the School of Education and Humanities to its students and how these facilitate their all-round development.

Alumni Interaction

An online alumni interaction was organized by CCA Coordinators Dr Savita Sharma and Ms Shreyasi Das on 19th December 2020. Alumni of the B.Ed programme (Batch 2017-19) Ms. Trishla Nagar joined this session to interact with the current batch of 2020 across B.A. B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed, B.Ed, and Special Education. A trained Zumba instructor, she is a full-time Physical Training Instructor. Through her online Zumba classes, Trisha works for philanthropic causes and raises funds for an NGO.

Trisha shared valuable memories of the quality time spent during B.Ed programme on the campus of Manav Rachna University. She shared experiences of her own personal development journey during the time spent while acquiring the degree program of B.Ed. The transformation of an introvert and shy student to a performer at present was only possible due to the mentors and ambience of MRU.

She shared how throughout the B. Ed program emphasis was laid on holistic development of students. While reliving her time at Manav Rachna, Trisha said, she gave training to students on freestyle Bollywood dances.

Further the students interacting also grooved on the dance numbers of Bollywood and with this, the delightful session culminated. Students’ queries about placements, ups and downs related to the same were also entertained. Overall, this was a joyful interaction that the students harnessed upon while interacting with a proud alumni of the Faculty of Education and Humanities.

“Future of Online Teaching: Exploring the way forward”

In continuation with the ‘Alumni Lecture Series’, the School of Education and Humanities of Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana organized an alumni lecture for its students on 24th November 2022.

The interaction took place at 2:00 p.m. in I Block Auditorium. Ms. Geetika Wadhwa (B.Ed. Batch 2020-22) was invited to interact with the students. Ms. Geetika Wadhwa holds expertise in the area of online teaching and has a qualified number of tests and interviews for renowned online platforms like LIDO Learning, BYJUs, and SwifLearn. Having worked with SwifLearn for a considerable time period, she shared her insights with the students on the theme “Future of Online Teaching: Exploring the way Forward”.

Dr. Savita Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Education and Humanities extended a formal welcome, on behalf of all the teachers, and fondly recalled Geetika Wadhwa being a sincere and hardworking student. With a sense of great pride, she also shared the speaker’s journey from a trained teacher to the present milestone.

The informative and interactive session ended with a round of questions both from the students and teachers to which Ms. Geetika responded eloquently. Dr. Savita Sharma proposed a vote of thanks. She expressed her admiration for the speaker for dealing with the topic in such a simple and comprehensive manner to enable the participants to explore online teaching as a viable and successful career option.
