Purpose of establishment is to provide knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Structural Analysis, Thermal Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Manufacturability of Products of Casting, Plastics and Sheet Metal, Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), Composite Materials and Industrial Projects Execution.

SETUP IN: 04-APRIL-2018

Location: M-Block, LAB MG08, Manav Rachna University

Purpose of establishment

Manav Rachna University (MRU), Faridabad signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd (DAIPL) to start a Centre of Excellence (CoE) on HVAC Systems in the University that will impart practical skill training and industrial exposure to the students within the campus. The CoE is first of its kind set up by the Japanese Company – Daikin India. In this Centre, the experts from DAIPL and MRU will impart training to the faculties, students and industry professionals on the advanced technologies in Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) System using air-conditioning units supplied by DAIPL.

Manav Rachna University is committed to produce industry ready professionals and the MoU with DAIPL will make the University enabled to bridge the gap between industry and academia by incorporating the global industrial practices and technologies into the academic curriculum and also improve employability and self-competence of students.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Manav Rachna University conducted a webinar on ”Heating and cooling loads with Psychrometric chart” on 25-05-2020 (Monday) using MS Team. The facilitator for the Daikin webinar was Mr. Gianender Kajal, Asst Prof -ME deptt. . Around 26 participants benefited by the webinar.

Mitra, President-Elect, Delhi Chapter ISHRAE. He gave detailed information about the He explained the importance of the Thermal Insulation System for Buildings. 29 Participants benefited from the lecture.

Mechanical Department organized a seminar on “Air Conditioning “in Daikin center of excellence setup in Manav Rachna University. The seminar cum workshop was focused on air conditioning, its future projections in the field of HVAC industry and how Daikin is using its technology in HVAC field .it was the first phase of the whole program starting from the overview to installation and hands on practice etc. So an overview was given to students of the third year mechanical.
