HOD Academic’s Message

The Department of Sciences at Manav Rachna University is a vibrant space that cultivates students as competent and socially responsible citizens for a sustainable tomorrow. We excel in imparting quality education to the students in frontier areas of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The Department offers programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels, with well-designed curricula, in accordance with international standards, which are continually up-graded in line with the latest developments in the fields of science and technology.

The Department takes pride in having highly qualified and seasoned faculty members who have produced research papers that have been published in various reputed national and international journals. The faculty members are always available to guide and motivate students, resolve issues within-and-outside academics, demonstrating a healthy student-teacher relation, so that the students are able to realise their potential to the fullest.

Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art experimental facilities which allow students to gain a healthy flavour of the concepts learnt in the classrooms. The department has access to advanced research facilities housed at the University Instrumentation Center (UIC), in addition to the 10-node parallel computing facility for high- end computational requirements. Thriving collaborations with national and international laboratories such as those housed at KIST South Korea, University of Melbourne, Australia, Yamagata University, JAPAN, Sandia National Laboratories, USA, IUAC New Delhi, NPL New Delhi, IIT Delhi, among others, help in producing un-restricted and quality research output.

At the level of academic infrastructure, the department is leaving no stone unturned in terms of providing access to the latest softwares, state-of-the-art library facility with quality textbooks and journal articles, in addition to the deployment of upgraded ICT tools during the teaching-learning process. Here at the Department of Sciences, we encourage continued skill and knowledge enhancement of both faculty and students by conducting regular workshops, conferences, expert talks, and promoting enrolment in various faculty development programs and short-term visits to national and international research labs.
