Department of English offers B.A (H) English Degree course, an M.A (English) Degree Course and Doctoral Program to cater the diverse needs and interest of students in the area of Literature.

B.A. (H) English

Department offers a full-time three-year undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in English Literature. The B. A. (H) English program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the English Literature and theories.

It covers core subjects such as British Literature, Victorian Literature, Indian Writings, Diaspora and Partition Literature, and more. The program includes a mix of theory, projects, and internships to develop students' public skills and industry readiness.

M.A. English

The department of English offers a postgraduate program leading to a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English Literature.

The program focuses on core literature areas and research broad areas. It includes coursework, research projects, and a thesis component, providing students with in-depth knowledge and research skills.

Ph.D in English

The department offers a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in English. The Ph.D program is designed for candidates interested in pursuing advanced research in specialized areas of English.
