The research and development is a cornerstone of academic institution building. The development of society, industry, and human beings rests on the quality of research output generated.

Research Development Cell is an initiative to develop research in specific functional areas within the university. It functions under the leadership of Dr. Sarita Sachdeva, ED and Dean, Research and Development, MRIIRS. Research Development Cell – Leadership and Business Excellence is dedicated to encouraging research in business, management and commerce. The School of Leadership and Management functions are mapped under this cell.

The following are objectives for RDC-Leadership and Business Excellence:

To establish support systems and processes for quality research
To encourage outcome-based research
To publish papers in high quality journals (peer reviewed SCOPUS Q1 Q2 preferred, Q3 & Q4)
To conduct research and development activities in the university, and contribute as per NAAC, NIRF and NBA requirements

The cell has been formulated to encourage and support faculty members in their Research and Development activities. The faculty members are provided with financial support to attend seminars, and trainings. The cell also funds the article processing charges for reputed journals.

The key research avenues under this cell are:

Research publications in SCOPUS, ABDC and WOS.
Funded research projects (ICSSR, DST, ICMR or any other external agencies)
Sponsored Research by Industries
Consultancy, Faculty Development Programs, Trainings and Management Development Programs
Seed Money funded by University.
