International Conference on Quality, Productivity Reliability, Optimization and Modeling (ICQPROM)
Symposium: Department of Mechanical Engineering (MED), FET, MRIIRS organized a National Symposium on “INTEGRATION OF RESEARCH ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRIAL PRACTICES TOWARDS MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE” on 25 th day of February 2020. The National Symposium started with gracious presence of renowned academicians like Prof. (Dr.) I.K Bhat - Hon’ble Chancellor MRU, Prof. (Dr.) Pulak Mohan Pandey - IIT Delhi, Prof. (Dr.) Sachin Maheshwari – NSUT Delhi, Mr. Abhijeet Mitra – Design Head – M/s Koyo Springs Ltd. Haryana along with delegates from Industry and academia. From MRIIRS, Pro. (Dr.) Naresh Grover, Dean Academics - MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Nijhawan, Associate Dean – FET MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Manu Srivastava, HOD MED MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Sujata Nayak – HOD MED, MRU along with faculty members and students.

Following topics were discussed in detail by the renowned and eminent speakers: Additive Manufacturing by current trends and requirements, Manufacturing Excellence by recent technologies and future scope, Industry ready engineers, manufacturing processes with concerns of design and quality, trends of emerging Mechanical Engineering, smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0

Quality Circle Forums
Students bagged 1st position in three different categories for the project “Solar Dryer”in Anveshan 2023 conducted by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) under the guidance of Mr. Vinay, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering.
Students published several research papers with faculty members in international conferences and journals.
“Solar Dryer” project received seed funding from the University for the Development of the project.
Students qualified in GATE and other entrance examination for reputed universities every year
Students got an opportunity for internship with Maruti, Honda, Sonalika Tractors, TATA steel, JBM, Jtekt India’s Ltd., Bharat Seats and many other reputed companies.
Students participated in the Formula Student Germany-2014 Championship held at Hockenheimring, Germany.
Students team participated in racing competition held at Chennai and won first prize in innovation category- SUPRA SAE
Student participations in competition: Faridabad Industry Associations, ISHRAE All India Quiz Competition A-QUEST, International GO-KART Championship, Formula Student Combustion, SUPRA SAE. Student Participated in National Level student competition Technology Innovation Forum for Agriculture Nurturing (TIFAN-2020), Jan/Feb 2021; TITLE: Design Manufacturing and Demonstration of Self-Propelled Onion Harvester”
