Advanced Structural Analysis Laboratory

The main aim of setting up Advanced Structural Analysis Laboratory is to apply and analyze the structural members under advanced loading conditions.

The laboratory consists of:

  • Electronic UTM 1000 KN With attachment for Bend, Shear & Hardness Testing.
  • Core Cutting Machine Powered by Diesel Engine.
  • Pundit Lab Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Testing Machine.
  • Profo scope Plus Rebar Detection.
  • Servo Shake Table with 1000 x1000 mm table size and payload 100 kg.
  • Mechanical Vertical Shake Table with Eccentric Cam.

The laboratory can be used for the following purposes:

  • Concrete sample testing under bending and shear.
  • Semi – Destructive Testing.
  • Non – Destructive Testing.
  • Behaviour of the structure against seismic actions.
  • Behaviour of the structure against wind loads.

The laboratory is being used by UG, PG and PhD students for carrying out experiments under projects and dissertations. Also, the laboratory is open for Consultancy Works.
