The B. Tech Course List and M. Tech Course List offered by the Department of the Civil Engineering are as follows:

B.Tech (Civil Engineering) - 4 Years

  • B.Tech – Civil Engineering
  • B.Tech (Hons.) – Civil Engineering (with specialization in Smart Infrastructure)
  • B.Tech (Hons.) – Civil Engineering (with specialization in Green Technology and Sustainability Engineering)

COURSE FEES (Per annum) in US $ For PIO/NRI Students US $ 4400
Criteria for Preparation of Merit list Merit preparation/shortlisting of candidates shall be on the basis of score in MRNAT 2023 / Marks in Qualifying Examination
Eligibility Criteria Pass in 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects and eligibility shall be determined on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks in i. Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & English and ii. One subject with the highest score out of the remaining subjects.

B.Tech (Civil Engineering) – 3 Years (through Lateral Entry)

  • B.Tech – Civil Engineering
  • B.Tech (Hons.) – Civil Engineering (with specialization in Smart Infrastructure)
  • B.Tech (Hons.) – Civil Engineering (with specialization in Green Technology and Sustainability Engineering)

Under this programme, the students can get B.Tech Civil Engineering (Hons.) with specializations in Smart Infrastructure/ Green Technology & Sustainability Engineering by earning additional 18-20 credits in the given particular domain as per provision prescribed in the APH of AICTE.

Criteria for Preparation of Merit list Merit preparation/shortlisting of candidates shall be on the basis of score in MRNAT 2023 / Marks in Qualifying Examination
Eligibility Criteria 45% marks in 3-year Diploma in Engineering in any branch/discipline from State Board of Technical Education or Equivalent Examination or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as Defined by UGC, with at least 50 % marks and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject
*In addition to above seats of the sanctioned intake admissions in B. Tech Lateral Entry shall also be made against the seats remaining vacant in 1st year of AY 2021-22

M.Tech (Civil Engineering) 2/3 Years

  • M.Tech – Civil Engineering (in specialization with Structural Engineering)
  • M.Tech – Civil Engineering (in specialization with Transportation Engineering)
  • M.Tech – Civil Engineering (in specialization with Construction Management)

This programme is offered with specialization in Structural Engineering /Construction Management /Transportation Engineering based on the courses opted by the students out of the basket of offered elective courses. Further, the student shall be given the choice to complete the programme in 2 years or 3 years

 I - Merit on the basis of valid GATE
II - Merit in Qualifying Exam
Eligibility Criteria Minimum 50% Marks or Equivalent CGPA in B.tech-Civil Engg.

Ph.D. (Civil Engineering)

*Since the curriculum is based on the Credit based Choice System, students are allowed to pursue courses from NPTEL Swayam portal and if the same has qualified the exam, the credits of that course will be transferred as per the MOOC Policy of MRIIRS.
