To accomplish the research :
  • Department organises International Conference ICRTE in association with Springer.
  • The course of Design thinking and innovation has been introduced to provide the taste of research right from the third semester.
  • Young researchers are aligned with faculty members to work on the latest technology and an interdisciplinary approach is followed.
  • Faculty members had various publications in SCI and Scopus Indexed journals.
To aid this following initiatives are taken by department
  • MOU with Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) since 2013.
  • Mitsubishi has sponsored Factory Automation Lab(since 2016) which is equipped with latest automation products (worth Rs.65 lakhs) like i-QR training set up, SCADA and Robotics set up(added in Feb, 2019).
  • M.tech Programme in Automation and Robotics in collaboration with MEI.
  • Two years Students Internship Program in association Mitsubishi Electric India.
  • Mentorship by Mitsubishi in designing of projects, conducting expert lectures and visits to the industries.
  • Certified trainings, FDP & workshops on latest Automation products by experts from MEI.
  • Summer internship programme jointly certified by MRIIRS & MEI are being organized in Factory Automation Lab.
  • Department Hosted National Level Project Competition “Mitsubishi Electric Cup "organized by Mitsubishi Electric India in the year 2019.
  • Organized Online Short Term Training Programme (STTP) approved by AICTE.
  • SPRINGER IN NATURE International Conference on Renewable Technology in Engineering (ICRTE-2021) & ICRTE -2022 was organized.
  • Skill Development Programme in association with National power Training Institute (NPTI) are organised.
  • ICT based Short term course are regularly organized in association with by NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research) Kolkata and Chandigarh to provide the exposure of latest technology.
