BACHELOR OF DESIGN (4 years )

A Bachelor of Design (B. Des) 4-year course with a specialization in Animation and VFX Design is an undergraduate program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of animation and visual effects theories, techniques, and methodologies. The course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in various careers related to animation and VFX.

Combining advanced coursework, design projects, and practical experience, the B.Design course focuses on developing core understanding and skills in areas such as:

  • Animation principles and techniques
  • 2D and 3D animation
  • Visual effects (VFX) creation and compositing

  • Digital storytelling and character design
  • Sound design for animation and VFX

Upon completion of a B.Des program with a specialization in Animation and VFX Design, graduates may pursue careers in a wide range of industries, including film, television, gaming, advertising, web design, and more. Alternatively, the VFX course graduates may choose to pursue further education, such as a Master of Design (M.Design) program, to further specialize in a particular area of design.

 

Eligibility

Pass in 10+2 Examination / Equivalent Examination  with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects including English as compulsory subject along with 4  subjects with the highest score out of the remaining subjects.

Criteria

Merit preparation / short listing of candidates shall be on the basis of score in MRNAT/ Marks in Qualifying Examination
