Performing Art Room

Overview

Performing Arts Lab provides a dynamic environment where students explore a variety of performing and visual arts, including dance, music, and painting. It is a vibrant space designed to foster creativity and artistic expression among students. A core focus is on the exploration and understanding of Indian and global cultural expressions through art. Students engage in projects that reflect traditions, rituals, and folk heritage, blending academic knowledge with creative output. The visual arts section of the room provides students with the space to experiment with painting, exploring different mediums, techniques, and themes that reflect their artistic vision. It nurtures creativity through color, form, and composition. MRU often has an active theater club or society where students can explore acting, scriptwriting, and direction. This club regularly puts on performances during university events and competitions. The lab is a dedicated space where students can engage in drama, art, and yoga activities, nurturing skills that contribute to both their academic and personal lives. The lab offers regular yoga classes focusing on posture, breathing exercises, and meditation, helping students develop physical and mental resilience.
