Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at MRIIRS, strives persistently on producing skilled computing graduates for tomorrow. The Department educate students with innovative approaches to solving problems and prepares them to design and develop integrated software and hardware systems with advanced curriculum, and research methodologies in a socially responsible way. Developing products that touch every part of our lives is the kind of innovation on which the department has been built.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in 1997 focusing on concept building, intellectual efficacy and self-reliance. With the rapid change in Technology and Industry based curriculum, the Department lets students design the degree around their interests, from areas such as protecting vital data from malicious hackers, harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence, or creating a game-changing environment for sophisticated tools to operate from remote locations.
The Department offers programs, B.Tech. (Hons) CSE with specialisation in cloud computing in association with Microsoft, B.Tech. (Hons) CSE with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence in association with Microsoft, B.Tech. (Hons) CSE with specialisation in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security in association with Microsoft, B.Tech. (Hons) CSE with specialisation in Internet of Things and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology, B.Tech. (Hons) CSE with specialisation in Data Science, B.Tech. (Hons) CSE with specialisation in Gaming Technology, M.Tech – Computer Science and Engineering (with specializations electives in AI-ML / Cyber Security), and PhD. The B.Tech (CSE) programme offered by the Department had been accredited thrice by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in 2004, 2007, and 2018 under Tier I Category.
The department of CSE has an unparalleled combination of experienced and specialized faculty in the domain of Computer Science that includes Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Computer Vision, Full Stack Development to mention a few. Faculty members bring vast knowledge to abreast with technology and directions in research nationally and globally. A strong Mentoring System at the department is a key relationship between students and faculty members to share knowledge, and experiences that potentially impact the career trajectory of students.
To keep in pace with today’s competitive era, the Department also encourages students to participate in various curricular and extra-curricular events including Hackathons, Conferences, Industrial Visits etc. The department shapes the future and prepares for professional success by associating them with student chapters of professional bodies like IEEE, CSI, ACM, and ISTE. Under the ambit of these bodies, students engage actively in various programmes to develop their technical and interpersonal skills. The Department has up-to-date laboratory facilities for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes. The Department has specialized labs for programmes offered by industry partners. The laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities.
The department focuses on the latest trends and practices followed in the Industry like TCS, IBM, Sun Microsystems, L&T, Infosys, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Dell-EMC, R Systems, and many others. The Department bridges the digital divide through cutting-edge research across varying fields of technology. The Department harnesses technology and reimagines business ideas with a path open for students to their Entrepreneurship journey.
