Pre-clinical conservative lab

Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics can begin their path towards precision and perfection in the pre-clinical lab. Modern equipment in the lab, including dental units, simulation models, and visualizers, enables students to mimic situations they could encounter in the real world. Students sharpen their endodontic and restorative abilities under the supervised guidance of certified aesthetic dentist and Micro Endodontists.

Lab Facility in the Department

The Prosthodontics Department has state-of-the-art labs equipped with modern instruments and machines. Well-equipped pre-clinical labs are rendered to facilitate the best learning experience for the students. The department has a pre-clinical laboratory where the first and second-year undergraduates carry out their pre-clinical exercises. The pre-clinical typodont lab gives an experience on hands-on dummy models before they actually operate on patients. The labs have individual gas connection and compressor lines where the students work under the faculty supervision.

The in-house laboratory with state of art chrome cobalt and ceramic labs enables fabrication of crowns, bridges and cast partial dentures for providing best services to the patients. Some of the equipment to highlight here are the ceramic furnaces, induction casting machines, pressure pot, high-speed lathe with suction, die cutter, pressure molding system, sandblaster and steam cleaner. The lab is well staffed with technicians and all the work is carried out under continuous guidance and supervision of dedicated staff.
