Dr. Suhail Javed Quraishi

Brief Profile

Dr. Suhail Javed Quraishi is currently working as a Professor and Head of the Department, Computer Applications in the School of Computer Applications, MRIIRS. He is also the chairman of various committees in the university such as BOS, DRC, DAC and also the esteemed member of BOF and Academic Council of university. He is a Doctorate in Computer Science & Information Technology with M.Tech. and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. He has completed his entire education from Aligarh Muslim University (Central University) and MJP Rohilkhand University (NAAC A++ State Government University). Also, he is Microsoft, IBM and Google certified faculty for courses in the area of Azure, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Business Analytics. Besides his academic qualification, he has cleared GATE examinations (consequently twice in a row), UGC NET (Computer Applications), NITAT (an All India Aptitude examination with top 3% ranking in India) and many more competitive examinations. He has over 20 years of total experience with more than 17 years of rich academic, research and administrative experience in university system including Aligarh Muslim University, Chandigarh University and 03 years of experience in renowned software organizations. He is an active member of IEEE, ACM and many other professional bodies. He has been honored with the Academic Excellence Award at Jamia Hamdard University and also a recipient of Esteemed Educator Award on training Indian Army Trainees including Major and Lieutenants at Junior Leaders Academy, Bareilly. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 scholarly research articles, conference papers, and book chapters with top publishers. He has 4 national and international patents published and 1 International patent granted under his name. He is an editor and reviewer of reputed and indexed journals of IEEE, Springer and Elsevier. He contributed as a keynote speaker in IEEE international conference, session chair of various international conferences; and convener and organizer of a few national and international conferences/seminars in association with IEEE and CSI. He has also conducted and organized many technical workshops and sessions on the latest multidisciplinary domains. He has supervised many projects at Undergraduate to Postgraduate level. Three research scholars are doing their research under his guidance. His areas of research includes Cyber and Information Security, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Business Analytics, and Cloud Computing. He is an excellent academic leader with a combination of qualities that inspire, guide, and support others within the organization. He has a clear vision for the department's future and proven his ability to develop strategic plans to achieve academic excellence. He inspire faculty, staff, and students by fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Dr. Quraishi also foster collaboration among faculty, staff, and students, promoting an environment of teamwork and inclusivity.
