Dr. Nandini Deb

Brief Profile

Dr. Nandini Deb completed her PhD from Abanindranath Tagore School of Creative Arts and Communication Studies, Assam Central University. Her doctoral research was titled “ A critical study of Freedom of Expression vis-à-vis censorship in contemporary Hindi cinema”. She has an experience of 7 years in academia. Prior to her joining academics, she was associated with Michelin Tyres as Content Consultant. She has completed her Masters’ degree from Bangalore University and had secured 3rd position in the university, class of 2011. Her research interests include Gender studies, partition narratives from North-east India and Film Studies. Her interest in Indian classical music drove her to complete Bachelors (Visharad) in Classical singing from Bhatkhande University.
