Brief Profile
Leena G completed her B-Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M-Tech in Control System in the year 1991 and 1995 respectively from the Government College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, then affiliated to the University of Kerala. She received her Ph. D in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2007.
She started her teaching profession at the Vellore Engineering College (presently Vellore Institute of Technology) in 1996 and then taught for few years at the Government College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram. She is with Manav Rachna since 2007 and is presently heading the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Her areas of interest are non-linear system, decentralized control, sliding mode control, renewable energy systems, model order reduction, solid waste management etc. She has published more than seventy papers in national and international journals. She is senior member of IEEE Control System Society (90704578), Institute of Engineers (India) - (M-148571-1) and Life Member of ISTE (LM-39065). Seven students have been awarded Ph. D. under her supervision. She is reviewer of Electrical Power and Energy systems (Taylor and Francis), Asian Journal of Control (Wiley), Journal of Institute of Engineers Series B (Springer India).
