Dr. Bhakti Ranjit Panwar

Brief Profile

Dr. Bhakti’s major research focus is on Economics of Ecotourism in general and India in particular.

Besides that, her teaching and research area includes Managerial Economics (Micro & Macro) Environmental economics and Agribusiness Policy, Indian Economy, Money & Banking, International Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship Development. She has more than 12 years of academic as well as industry experience. She has successfully completed executive program ‘Leadership and Management in New-Age Business,’ from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she has worked as a trainer for the National University Students Skill Development (NUSSD) project, which was launched by the TATA Institute of Social Science (TISS, Mumbai), the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (Government of India), and the National Skill Development Agency to offer "skill training" for college students in banking and finance. She has received RBI-Reserve Bank of India scholarship for submitting the project on Fintech as part of the Reserve Bank of India's Scholarship Scheme for Faculty Members from Academic Institutions in 2017. She has previously participated in a number of workshops and faculty development programmes from IIMs, IITs and other prestigious institutes in her ongoing effort to learn and reflect on high-quality research. Additionally, throughout India and its neighbouring countries, she has delivered research papers at numerous national and international conferences. She has reviewed & authored a book on Economic Analysis for Business Decision. In addition, she received invitations to speak as a guest speaker at events organised by the FIDD -RBI, K L University, and Bharati Vidya Bhavan. She holds Life Membership of INSEE—Indian Society for Ecological Economics, New Delhi.
