Brief Profile

Prof. (Dr.) B. K. Bhuyan joined MRIIRS as an Associate Professor on 24.01.2014 and is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SET, MRIIRS. Prof. Bhuyan has completed Ph.D from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, U.P. and interesting teaching experience of more than 12 years. He has always enjoyed teaching Advanced Machining Processes and Material Science to UG students and Industrial Statistics to PG students. He has excellent research contribution in terms of research publications in journals of high repute (SCI, SCOPUS etc.), research supervision at PG and Ph.D. level and handling externally funded sponsored research projects and Patents. His research interest directed towards development and performance study as well as modelling and optimization study of several new hybrid/advanced multi-scale machining technologies. He has published more than 75 research papers in International/National Journals, Conferences and Book Chapters. Prof. Bhuyan has also proven administrative skill by accepting different challenging administrative assignments. He has been associated with outreach activities as an Examination In-Charge, Center Superintendent, Member of Academic Council, BOS, DRC, Academic Monitoring Committee as well as expertise in NAAC and NBA work. He has organized many short term courses and National/International conferences. He is a popular Invited speaker in the field of Advanced Machining Science and Technology as well as FEM applications in Engineering. He is a famous reviewer of more than Ten International/National Journals and many International/National Conferences.
