Maithili Ganjoo is a vetren media professional with academic profeciency and currently officiates as the Dean and Professor of, the School of Media Studies and Humanities, at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies in Faridabad, India. She holds an MPhil and Ph.D in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, in New Delhi. Dr. Ganjoo has extensive experience in the media industry having worked as a Communication Strategist with leading media organizations like JWT, Ogilvy, and Group M (all WPP Companies).
She has curated several national and international communication and social media campaigns for brands and UN agencies. Later she transitioned into academics and worked with institutions like the Manipal Academy of Higher Education ( MAHE), Pearl Academy of fashopn, and the Dainik Jagran Group. She has authored academic books, book chapters, and research papers in high indexed journals in media sociology and communication. Her research area includes development communication, media sociology, gender studies, qualitative research, and film studies.She supervised over a dozen Ph.D scholars in media education.
