Brief Profile

Prof. (Dr) Kiran Bala is Professor and Head, Department Journalism and Mass Communication at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, Faridabad. She is Former Professor and Dean, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Dean Research at K R Mangalam University, Gurugram. She is a professional with diverse knowledge. A doctorate in Mass Communication, Gold-medallist in PG in Mass Communication and Gold-medallist in PG Diploma in Translation, Postgraduate in English, PG Diploma in Marketing Management, UGC(NET) qualified, she has many feathers in her cap.

A qualified media personality, she is a keen researcher and a dedicated academician with more than twenty years of Public Relations and Corporate Communications teaching experience at both college and university levels. Along with academics, she has contributed five years in All India Radio and almost two years in Doordarshan as a casual compeer. She has also worked as Sub-Editor in National Hindi Daily Dainik Bhaskar. 

She has been awarded with ‘Exceptional Women of Excellence’ by Women Economic Forum in April 2019. She has contributed for MOOC modules for Masters in Advertising and Public Relations for e-gyankosh IGNOU. She has chaired the sessions and delivered many invited lectures in International and National Conferences of reputes. She has also been guiding many research scholars at doctoral level and has received funding for research projects.
