Brief Profile

Assistant Professor in the Deaprtment of Journalism and Mass Communication at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. She worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Manipal University Jaipur from 2022 to 2023. She successfully defended the doctoral thesis at Tezpur University in 2023, in the department of Mass Communication and Journalism, titled "Performance of Indian News Media during 2019 Lok Sabha Elections: A study of 'So Sorry' Politoons." 

She completed a project titled “An exploratory study of contemporary Estonian animation films through the semiotics of Yuri Lotman” at Tallinn University from 11-09-2021 to 11-02-2022, which is funded by the Education and Youth Board of the Republic of Estonia under the programme of the Academic studies of Estonian Language and Culture Abroad (the E.K.K.A.V. programme). She was a visiting doctoral student at Tallinn University, Estonia, from 1st-11-2019 to 31st-01-2021, under the Dora Plus mobility grant, funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

  • Received recognisation as a Reseource Person in the field of Tribal and Rural Development in National CSR Summit-2023, held on 6th January, organized by Faculty of Commerce & Management, Sirla Birla University, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
  • Received best paper I.A.F.O.R. Scholarship/grant to attend the 10th Asian Conference on Media, Communication & Film, with the conference Theme “Reclaiming the Future” organized by I.A.F.O.R. at Tokyo, Japan on Oct. 25-27, 2019.
