Courses and Job Opportunities after B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics

Wondering what to do after B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics. There are ample opportunities to choose from, but the final decision depends upon the interest of the aspirant and the scope after B.Sc. Maths. Broadly, there are only two options, pursuing higher education or to jump into the real world for job opportunities. We will first look into the academic aspect then move on to the job opportunities after B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths.

M.Sc. (Master of Science- Mathematics/Statistics):-

MBA(Masters of Business Administration):-

To get admission to MBA programme, an aspirant needs to appear for entrance tests which include CAT, CMAT, SNAP, GMAT etc. On the basis of score in these exams, admission is offered to aspirants in MBA.

High Paying Industries for B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics Graduates:

Banking Sector:- A graduate can make his/her career in the banking sector after B.Sc. at various levels like Bank Probationary officers by cracking the exam as most of the questions are from mathematics. They can opt for clerical jobs as well.

Actuarial Sciences:- If one is passionate about mathematics and statistics, one can become an actuary after clearing actuarial science stages.

Defense Services:- One can make a career in defense services after B.Sc. (Hons) Mathematics. They can join DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization).
