World Tourism Day Celebrations with Mr. Peter Gorsa

World Tourism Day, celebrated each year on 27th September, is the global observance day fostering awareness of tourism’s social, cultural, political, and economic value and the contribution that the sector can make towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals. Department of Hotel Management was proud and privileged to welcome Mr. Peter Gorsa, Internationally renowned Croatian Shooter.

Key Speakers of the event were Mr. Petar Gorša from Croatia and Mr. Sanjeev Rajput, Arjuna Awardee Indian shooter. He was a retired Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Navy. Both the guests shared their international experiences by discussing the concerns faced by the Indian tourism industry. They also helped students to understand mechanisms in bridging the gap between services available and customer’s expectations.

They informed the students that this day is designated as a day to focus on tourism for inclusive growth. Students were very excited and really enjoyed the session. The session ended with a question-and-answer round where students asked them about Indian Culture and experience in terms of Tourism.
