Dr. Megha Mittal, HoD, Department of Chemistry, FAS, MRU visited Dr. Reddy’s Laboratory (DRL), Hyderabad recently to review the progress of M.Sc. Chemistry IV-Sem students training. Two students from M.Sc. Chemistry (Ms. Saloni Goyal and Ms. Sherry Gandhi) are currently doing their summer internship at DRL. Students are working on specific chemical synthesis, protection, de-protection reactions and synthesis of peptides.
Dr. Mittal met Dr. Ram Mohan, Senior Director, Head-Process & Analytical Research, and Dr. Pratap T.V. Principal Scientist Process R&D. The team was highly satisfied with the performance of the students in their respective projects. They especially mentioned the dedicated efforts of students so that in a two-month span, they have practiced various techniques and now working as a helping hand to their project mentors.
Dr, Mittal also visited IICT Hyderabad and had a meeting with Dr. Joseph, Chief Scientist and Dr. Shailaja, Head Business Development & Research Management. Dr. Joseph is working on Solid Waste Management and was very keen to share his ideas and technologies with the students of Manav Rachna. Dr. Shailaja was quite appreciative and suggested to move ahead with MoU wherein students can get relevant skill based training.
