Two Week Faculty Development Program on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’

Faculty of Management Studies & New-Gen IEDC, MRIIRS organized the Two-Week Faculty Development Program on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’ from April 5 – 17, 2021.

AICTE, New Delhi sponsored the program and the FDP was designed to train and motivate the faculty members involved or likely to be involved in the promotion of entrepreneurship-related activities. The program was attended by 46 participants from reputed institutions from pan India, which helped the organizing team build the blocks for the program’s success. Due to the pandemic, the program was conducted through online mode with innovative pedagogy.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Devi Singh, Former Director, IIM Lucknow (Chief Guest), Mr. S.B. Sareen, Director Department of Projects, EDII, Ahmedabad (Guest of honor), Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor-MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Pardeep Kumar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor- MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Nand Lal Dhameja, Dean-FMS & Prof. (Dr.) Monika Goel, Dean-FCBS.

On each day, there were three sessions in which more than 25 speakers from academia and the industry (from India & Abroad) addressed the participants.

In the valedictory session, Dr. Meghna Chhabra (Associate Professor, FMS, and Program Coordinator) shared the report of the two weeks FDP, where she discussed the participant’s profiles, session details, and the resource person profiles comprehensively. Along with her team of coordinators, Dr. Rajender Kumar (Assistant Professor, MED, FET) and Mr. Kartik Rampal (Program Coordinator, NewGen IEDC), she thanked AICTE for giving the opportunity and support for conducting the FDP and the senior management at Manav Rachna for the everlasting support to create and boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the institution.

In the valedictory address, Ms. Anjali Tiwari, Founder of Augli (AI-based EdTech Company, Gurgaon), postulated the significance of thinking out of the box, breaking the silos, and moving out of the comfort zone and how we can be intrapreneurial in our respective works.

In addition to the interactive sessions, a few activities like motivational study, design aspect study, business plan model preparation, and learning from renowned entrepreneurs were also part of this program. The speakers discussed the case studies on Paytm, Dehlivery and Superfuel Venture Journeys.
