Training on Water pollution for B.Sc. Chemistry, 2nd Semester Students

Students of B. Sc. Chemistry (II Sem) are training under Dr. P. K. Patnala on the issue of water pollution. They are learning to determine the basic characteristics of water like COD, BOD, pH, salinity, and alkalinity. They are working on innovative projects like use of kitchen waste products and fruit peels as adsorbents, for heavy metal remediation dyes using Ultrasound assisted Hydrogen peroxide, photo-catalytic degradation of dyes and adsorption of dyes using ammonium cerium nitrate.
