Surgical Strike Day-“Raksha” Celebration

Department of Students Welfare celebrated Surgical Strike Day-“Raksha” on behalf of Manav Rachna and honored all the members of Manav Rachna family who served in Indian Army and survived various Surgical Strikes on the border.

The event was graced by Brig. S. N. Setia, Col. V. K. Gaur, Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. M. K. Soni, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS along with Ms. Gurjeet Kaur Chawla, Associate Dean Students Welfare, MRIIRS and other senior faculty members from Manav Rachna family.

The event commenced with a slogan of “BHARAT MATA KI JAI” by Sankalp Gautam and Rishika, students of MRIIRS who were the host for the day. With a hearty welcome to all the dignitaries, Dr. M. K. Soni presented saplings to the guest of honor as a token of respect.

In continuation, the audience was motivated by the feeling of oneness and harmony by the video shared by Brig. S. N. Setia who shared his experience of how the defense service people feel when they are serving the nation. Following this, Col.V.K. Gaur, who served the nation for many years shared his experience of the war zone and how he survived in the temperature of -27oC in a place near to Leh.
