Shri Ratan Lal Lahoti Memorial Law Library Inaugurated at Manav Rachna University by Hon’ble Justice R.C. Lahoti
Manav Rachna University proudly hosted the Inauguration Ceremony of Shri Ratan Lal Lahoti Memorial Law Library and the First Meeting of the Advisory Board, Faculty of Law in the Manav Rachna campus. Former Chief Justice of India Hon’ble Justice R.C Lahoti, Chairman of the Advisory Board has adopted the Law Library in the name of his Father. He has donated several of his personal books to this library. The Library is well-staked and well equipped with online and offline resources and is packed with a huge collection of books on Law.
While expressing utmost delight on the inauguration ceremony, Hon’ble Justice R.C. Lahoti, said, “I am indeed very happy to be in the Manav Rachna campus for reasons more than one. The name of the University itself and the deep meaning behind it says it all. I salute the Founder who has founded an Institution which not only imparts quality education but also works on creating better human beings.”
In the inauguration session, he apprised the Students pursuing Law education about 3 types of Books wherein he mentioned that there are books that can be tested, books that can be swallowed and books that can be chewed and digested, further stating that Library is the only place where everyone can find all such books. He also encouraged the students by reiterating the fact that doctors and lawyers are the only professionals who are gifted with an opportunity to serve Society and the students should leave no stone unturned in serving the society and making it a better place to live in. Hon’ble Justice Lahoti further shared his journey from a law student until now and how his Father, Shri Ratan Lal Lahoti has been his mentor all through his life.
The Students were quite elated and overwhelmed with excitement upon hearing from Justice Lahoti that a Gold Medal shall be given to a ‘Student of the Year’ who would be judged on parameters such as Marks, Behaviour, Participation in Extra-Curricular activities to name a few during their convocation ceremony.
Thereafter, the first meeting of the Advisory Board, Faculty of Law of Manav Rachna University was held wherein the roadmap ahead for the Faculty of Law was discussed.

Lahoti; Hon’ble Justice Rajiv Bhalla; Mr. Ravindra Srivastav; Mr. Gaurab Banerjee; Mr. Ashok Gupta; Mr. Vinay Bhasin; Mr. Sanjeev Sharma; Mr. Sudhir Sharma; Mr. Anup Trehan; Shri R.K. Bajaj, Former Chief Commissioner Income tax and senior dignitaries from the Manav Rachna fraternity graced the august occasion.
