It was the Seventh day of Orientation Program for Engineering students where in they acquired new computer skills (MS Word, Google Docs, PC Hardware), went through the modules of English Language, Math Session, Electronics Workshop, and Mechanical Workshops. Students actively and enthusiastically participated in English activity- ‘Extempore’. It boosted up their confidence.
Students were also introduced to the various features of Google Sheet, which enable them to make effective use of online services. The students got a deeper insight into the components of PC Hardware by having hands-on exercise of system assembly. Students also took part in mechanical activity of manufacturing of aeroplane model using nylon materials. This provided practical exposure of conventional machining to the students in the machine shop.
This was followed by a session on analyzing the functions of basic electronic components like resistor, capacitor, LED, breadboard, power supply etc. along with the basic concepts of Arduino and IoT.
Indoor games are a perfect way to socialize and spend time together. With this thought, an indoor games session was planned for the students. Students visited Shooting Range at the campus and were given relevant information along with the training of gun handling and marksmanship. They also played badminton and table tennis.
