Scholar attends Jaipur Literature Festival-Department of English

Ivy Dasgupta, a Ph.D. Scholar, Department of English, FMeH attended the Jaipur Literature Festival from Jan 23 to Jan 27 in Jaipur. Described as the greatest show on Earth, the Jaipur Literature Festival 2020 was a phenomenon that staged the stars of the literary world and served a generous feast of ideas.

From the erudite and inimitable Shashi Tharoor to the noted 20^th century fiction writer Elizabeth Gilbert, Nobel laureate Abhijit V. Banerjee to the renowned historian, William Dalrymple, Shakespeare critic Stephen Greenblatt and other countless literary gems (from home and abroad) dazzled the city of the Maharajas for a span of five days and left one asking for more. As an eye-witness to this extravaganza, for Ivy Dasgupta, it was a utopian experience!
