Report for Technical Competition held on August 12, 2016

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Manav Rachna International University, organized a Technical Competition technically supported by IEEE Computer Society, Delhi Section.

cHeld prior to Independence Day, the celebrations commenced with various technical activities taking place simultaneously such as Gaming Competition, Programming Skill Competition, Web Designing Competition etc. The Faculty members of CSE Department coordinated these events along with full participation of students. The day also saw numerous experts delivering lectures and introducing the participants to innovative topics of the technical world. The esteemed dignitaries constituted Dr. Anup Girdhar, CEO, Sedulity Groups; Dr. A. Murali M. Rao, Chair, IEEE Computer Society, Delhi Section; Dr. M. K. Soni, ED and Dean, FET; Dr. S. S. Tyagi, Professor and Head, Department of CSE, FET; Dr. Suresh Kumar, Professor; Dr. S. S. Handa, Professor, CSE;and Professor Anil Chopra, Professor,CSE.

Dr. M. K. Soni, offered his best wishes for the success of this event. Dr. Anup Girdhar gave his expert talk on ‘Cyber World – Opportunities and Challenges’, where he discussed several threats pertaining to Cyber Forensics and the practice of identifying, classifying, remediating, and mitigating vulnerabilities. Dr. A. Murali M. Rao encouraged the students in the audience to participate in such competitions that will enhance their problem-solving capabilities and logical thinking greatly. The expert lectures were followed by the Prize Distribution ceremony, in which all the senior Dignitaries distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of the competitions. The winning teams in various categories were: Programming Skill: First Prize was given to Mr. Inderpreet Singh and Mr. Nikhil (4th year CSE students), second prize was won by Mr. Rohit and Mr. Pankaj (4th year CSE students). Web Designing: First Prize was won by Mr. Dhanjay and Mr. Saahil (3rd year CSE students), second prize was waon by Mr. Archit Singhal and Ms. Somya Dwivedi (1st year CSE students). Gaming: Mr. Christopher, FCA, won the first prize. Dr. S. S. Tyagi gave the vote of thanks on the occasion.
