Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe awards degrees at the sixth Convocation of MRIIRS

– 2319 students awarded degrees at the Sixth Convocation.
– 67 Special awards and medals instituted for outstanding performance.

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS, Deemed-to-Be University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956) organized its Sixth Convocation Ceremony for the pass-out batches of 2017 and 2018 today. 2319 graduate, 468 post graduate, 38 doctoral degrees were awarded to students across all disciplines. 67 medals were given for exemplary performance to the students.

The convocation was declared open by Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI).

Prof Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman-All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) presided over the solemn ceremony as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honor for the occasion was Mr. Peje Emilsson, Executive Chairman, Kunskapsskolan Education. Also present were Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI; Dr. M.K. Soni, Pro-VC, MRIIRS and other senior dignitaries.

Dr N.C Wadhwa presented the Annual Report of the University and shared the achievements of the students and faculty members. He emphasized upon the rich cultural heritage and the research culture at Manav Rachna.

Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe was highly appreciative of the infrastructure at Manav Rachna. He said: “As I moved across the campus today, I was glad to note an emblem of excellence everywhere. The campus inspires excellence and is ready for its onward journey. With such excellent infrastructure, national and international medals are an obvious outcome. I am confident that ‘Rachna’ of the ‘Manav’ is the essence of Manav Rachna.”

While congratulating the graduates on their big day, Mr Peje Emilsson said, “Graduates today have the fantastic opportunity to create new technology and make a better life for themselves and a better world for the future generations”.
