Press Release: MRDC transition into MRIIRS

Manav Rachna Dental College (MRDC), a flagship institution of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions providing BDS and MDS degree programs is now under the ambit of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS, deemed-to-be-university). The Ministry of Human Resource and Development, GoI in exercise of the powers  conferred by section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, on the advice of UGC, has accorded its approval for the inclusion of Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad under the ambit of MRIIRS.

Manav Rachna Dental College was established in 2006 and is recognized for BDS Degree and MDS Degree by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Dental Council of India. It was earlier affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

While elaborating, Dr. Arundeep Singh, Principal, MRDC said: “MRIIRS will award degrees to dental students admitted from the session 2019-20 onwards. However, students of the previous batches including MDS students who have already taken admission in the session 2019-20 will remain enrolled with Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak which will also award them degree on the successful completion of their course”.

The above was recommended by an expert committee of the University Grants Commission which comprised a nominee of the Dental Council of India.

It is noteworthy that Manav Rachna Dental College is a NAAC ‘A’ Grade accredited institution with state-of-the-art infrastructure. With an extensive focus on innovation and research, MRDC is among the Top 24 Dental Colleges of the country as per various surveys.
