The ICMR initiated the Short Term Studentship Program in order to promote interest and aptitude for research among medical/dental undergraduates. The main objective of this program is to provide an opportunity to undergraduate medical students to familiarize themselves with research methodology and techniques. It was expected that this may serve as an incentive for them to take up research as a career in the future.
Dental undergraduate students and their Guides from various colleges in the country participate by sending their proposals. A total of 300 proposals get selected for BDS students.
