India is the host to this year’s World Environment Day (June 5), being celebrated on the theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’.
It is noteworthy that Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) has been working ceaselessly towards sustainable development and environment protection. Sustainability is built into the fabric of MREI’s daily operations. Several experts and academicians congregated at the MREI campus today to discuss on the pertinent issue of plastic based pollution. Sh. G C Pati, Member, Central Ground Water Board (CGWB); Dr. D K Chadha, Chairman, CAWTM, MRIIRS; Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS; Dr. S Shekhar, Senior Scientist, CGWB and other eminent academicians were a part of the discussion.
Best practices related to curbing plastic pollution were discussed on the occasion. Faculty members were encouraged to pursue research in the areas.
