Keynote Address by Mr. Ravindra Shrivastava, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India

The Faculty of Law, Manav Rachna University embarked on a comprehensive orientation schedule to induct and orient the newly admitted students of the Class of 2021. The inaugural session of the program was the Keynote Address by Mr. Ravindra Shrivastava, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, and an esteemed member of our Law Advisory Board.

Mr. Ravindra Shrivastava exhorted all students to be curious, starting from being clear why have they joined law, the answer to which will help them achieve success in life. He sensitized the students the need to connect with different sections of the society, especially the poor and needy people, and get ready to stand up for the right cause, solve problems, and work hard towards fair and speedier delivery of justice in society.

While there are diverse career options after completing law education, he advised the students to not think too much about which career to choose after completing the law degree, as their thoughts will evolve over time, once they get more exposure and awareness. Students were told to just be in the moment, cherish the fact that they are students of law, and resolve to play a formative role to play in society, in the times to come. He shared several success mantras with students to get success in their legal careers.

In the end, there was a Q& A session, wherein many students directly interacted with Mr. Shrivastava, and quenched their curiosity through very insightful questions. The session ended with a vote of Thanks by Ms. Versha Vahini, HOD and Associate Dean, Faculty of Law.

It was really a very inspiring session and set the right tone for the rest of the orientation program.
