Japan Government offered scholarships to students of Applied Sciences

Six students of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS, Formerly MRIU) have been offered scholarship by the Japanese Government to participate in the Tsukuba Summer Institute (TSI)-2018 which is being held from 10-18 July, 2018 at University of Tsukuba, Japan. Dr. GL Khanna, Professor, Faculty of Applied Sciences, MRIIRS has been invited to conduct lectures for the lab workshops.

Four students from MRIIRS have been offered scholarship by the Japan Government, this year to attend the Tsukuba Summer Institute (TSI)-2018. Students will be attending workshops on research and lab work. Assistant Prof. (Dr.) Deepti Sharma, FAS, MRIIRS is also attending the workshops as a Ph.D. student.

Every year, students of MRIIRS (Formerly MRIU) visit the Tsukuba Summer Institute at the University of Tsukuba as a part of an exchange program that aims to establish free exchange and close relationships in both basic and applied sciences. Collaboration with University of Tsukuba has provided ample opportunities for the students of both Universities (Tsukuba as well as MRIIRS) to gain International experience by completing part of their education in the foreign host University, thereby fostering goodwill and mutual understanding between Japan and India.

During the course of the workshop, students will be exposed to Exercise Physiology Biomechanics & Therapeutic Biochemistry Program which will strengthen cooperation between the two Universities for further research collaborations and academic programs.

With such workshops and scholarships, MRIIRS students are heading towards a meaningful career with global skills.
